Electric roof rear adjustments

Hi ,

Could anybody help me with electric hardtop adjustment please? I adjusted the top latch yesterday which fixed the annoying clunk I’d had. However now the rear window rattles more. The adjustment might have pulled the roof forward and created more space at the back. (I turned the latch only half) I am wondering if there is a way to tighten the rear part of the roof? Thanks for your comments.

Speaking from personal experience, the adjustment of the hard folding roof is something of a black art. There are a number of shims involved (2 different types) to add to the complexity. I’m afraid it’s a matter of trial and error to get it right. You will need a decent toolkit and a covered area and above all, plenty of time to complete the job.

Oh man!:sweat_smile: picked the most complicated repair huh!?. Thanks so much for the info. I’ll read it through and if tightening and lubricating the bolts won’t help then I’ll dig deeper
