Electric windows stopped working.

Have replaced the dash bulbs for LED’s and as it’s an auto the bulb that iluminates the selector panel, this required lifting the centre consol slightly.

After replacing the dash the windows do not work!!! The bulb for the gearchange is ok and that comes off the wiring going to the window switches, have disconnected and re cliped the switch plug, and all contacts OK with no corrosion. Then moved to the fuse box which is in a bugger of a position under the dash, located the 30a fuse for the window and its all OK, while I was bent double and contorted under the dash I pulled every other fuse and all OK there.

Everything else is working just fine.

Dont have a meter to check  the switches.

Any ideas of anything else I can try???

Imagine my suprise!!!

When I had spent most of New Years Day contorted, pulling fuses and checking just about every wire under the dash when I found a screw that was lost when changing the dash bulbs. The screw which  holds the instrument cover in place was duly replaced when I noticed a switch ender the dash with a little window etched on it Embarassed I fliped it EmbarassedEmbarassed and EmbarassedEmbarassedEmbarassed  the windows started working. Embarassed

Many thanks to all the people that read my post, and in the words of one of my hero’s ‘DOH’

Have a great New Year Guys and Gals XXX
