Electric wing mirrors, do I have them?

Evening, I recently bought an NB which had an aftermarket alarm that has been removed.  Part of the process meant that there are two holes where an alarm warning light was and another alarm overide/manual button arrangement located by the electric mirror blanking plate.  Since the alarm has gone leaving me to replace said parts where the holes where I popped out the electric mirror blanking plate to find an electric plug connected to the back of the plate.  Does this mean that if I buy the electric mirror switch that I have electric operated mirrors?  I know that when I try to move the mirrors manual that they click up and down into position rather than smoothly.  Is there a quick way to check?  It does have window handles too, (I wanted to base model as lightness for track days was key) just interested if I had electric wing mirros otherwise will buy the relevant blanking plate.

Kind regards,

James

Only iS had electric mirrors, so a quick check is no ABS, no power mirrors.

Thank you for your prompt response. Just when I rremoved the blanking plate there was a wiring plug, almost too good to be true, plug and play, plus the mirrors seem to click when manually adjusted up, down, left or right. I must admit, I am after lightness so prefer not to have the function, did not make sense in my eyes having potential elec mirrors but no elec windows.  I Also know that I do not have ABS.  Again cheers.

My early 98 (apparently pre official launch date) NB’s mirrors are manual and click when moved, just like yours. I would think that the wiring harnesses were just made to a common design, rather than different ones for optional equipment.
