Has any one used or got one of these devices  icarsoft cr plus

I am thinking of buying one for my mercedes but also to use on a Mk1 and Mk2.5 MX5

 

Secondary Mk1 is a 97 1.8, do I need a 17 to 16 pin cable adaptor.

From 1996 in the US all the Miata’s were ODB2 compliant. The MX5 in Europe or the Roadster in Japan I believe, were not ODB2 compliant until about 2001. The Mk2.5 was the first UK MX5 to be so compliant.

Therefore apart from the LED on sale at Autolink you would need to find one of the old dealer level diagnostic tools for the MK1.

Therefore we have saved you wondering for any longer what lead you need to connect your Mk1.
