Engine Oil. SkyActive?

My ND MX5 RF is due its first service and Ive just called in to see what is actually involved. On the list that is supplied by Mazda, the oil is listed as SkyActive engine oil? Does anyone know what the hell this is. If its not the best for my engine I’m quite prepared to drain it later and replace with this forums recommendations.

TIA.

Mark

The oil that should be used in your engine is Mazda Supra oil, It’s Mazda’s recommended oil. It is specifically for Skyactiv engines which yours is.

This is the Mazda oil----  https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/engine-genuine-mazda-0w20-ltrs-mk4-p-3866.html

The hand book lists all the oil specification for your car.

This is an alternative used by a Mazda Main Dealer—  https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OYTO88I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I take it you mean my cars handbook? I’m remote from my car and cant look.
Thanks guys.
