Eunos Numberplate Bulbs - What type/size are they?

Hi,

Both my number plate bulbs have blown. I thought they would be capless 501 type and would be an easy swap for LED’s. They appear to be bayonet-type capped bulbs.

Does anybody know exact type so that I may source the right replacements? It’s a 1991 1.6 NA6CE.

There’s a list of all the Mk 1 bulbs here

 Already looked there Geoff.

Mine are not 501 wedge type as described, I think this is UK car only?

It’s 23:30 here, so I’ll have a look at mine in the morning if you haven’t had an answer by then

Cheers Geoff.

I have got the old bulbs out but they don’t have any markings. I want to replace them with LED’s and wondered if I could source direct replacements off ebay. Althouhg it looks pretty easy to remove the bulb holders so I could solder in new connectors for 501’s.

They are:

Halfords Ref HBU207. This reference ties into bulb type 382. 15mm bayonet with directly opposed pins.

Ordered 2 white multi LED ones off good old ebay for a fiver. Will let all know if they fit…

Thanks for the info, I have added it to the bulb info thread

I’m not sure they will. 382 bulbs are for the rear lights AFAIK and have a large “bulb” The numberplate lights have a small “bulb”
Do you have the link to the eBay ad, just in case I’m talking boloX?

My numberplate bulbs look like this

382 bulbs look like this:

The LED versions have the same sized bulb like this: (I have the red version in my reverse lamp holder as a fog light)

Hi,

I bought these:

The bulb head is narrow, so should fit fingers crossed…
