Eunos SR Limited clutch noise

Hi all,
I’ve recently bought a 1997 1.8L Eunos Roadster SR Limited (NA) and have noticed a strange noise coming from what I believe is the clutch area. Both the clutch and slave cylinder are relatively new, but there’s a squealing or chirping sound when the clutch is engaged. The noise disappears when the clutch pedal is depressed or if the car is driven in the same gear for a while. The noise comes back after the clutch peddle returns to its resting position.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas what it could be? Current research leads me to the throw out bearing but I’m still unsure.
Also, I’d appreciate any recommendations for a good MX-5 specialist in the Bristol area.
Thanks
-Dan

Throw-out bearing, but aftermarket slave cylinders sometimes don’t fully engage the clutch fork. Try some grease where the slave cylinder engages the clutch fork.
