I’ve come to regard Eurocarparts as the Sports Direct of the car parts world.
Is this the opening up of the biggest scam that’s been going on for years, mention “trade” at any motor factor and you suddenly get 50% discount. The so called “trade discount” should be re-named retail sucker surcharge. I bought recently some uPVC, obviously not motor related, and the cashier had to apologise for not resetting the till from the “trade” setting for the previous customer, so I got mine for half the price that he paid.
I’m a fan of Screwfix, but they’ve just started a “trade” entrance so they seem to be able to make a decent profit from selling at discount, supported obviously by the suckers who pay the retail surcharge.
Anyway, this is isn’t Ann Robinson on pricewatch (or whatever) but I feel better for my rant,

I found, having changed up all my pads and discs recently (Brembo) on my NC1, that ECP were pretty comparable to buying online. They can sometimes work out marginally cheaper but usually about a couple of quid more expensive. If a couple of quid more means I can pick them up the same day, I’m happy.
The Screwfix Trade Card doesn’t give any sort of discount.
