Hi, does anyone know the cause of a popping noise from the exhaust AFTER turning off the ignition, after a run ?
This popping noise seems to occur a few minutes after turning off the ignition.
Popping? When you say exhaust popping I think of unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust on over run. If a metallic tinkling (for wont of a better word) or ticking noise it could be metal contracting as it cools, have heard this on various vehicles.

If it’s a popping I think i might be worried. strange. any chance of a sound bite on here?
It is just a single low level pop from the exhaust, with ignition and engine shut off, and seems to occur after a run, that’s all IS can tell you
