Got loads of cassettes also, back in fashion. So for me, its either the up-market external CD player (identified) or YouTube music via the phone. New MX5 is brilliant though, just washed and polished.

I love these sound systems, I have every track Ive ever owned on my new walkman, with a one T disc, which took me about a week to load all my cds and vinyl, losslessly mind, on to.
When I finish work, I choose an album or playlist on the way to my lovely MX5 , and by the time Ive sat down, put the keyfob in the lovely little space which is its home,pressed the start button, and the 190 grruunts into life, it bluetooth connects to the car…and gives me exactly the music I want to listen to.
And yet…
There’s something about selecting a vintage cd from my collection, slotting it into the player between the seats and cranking up the volume and reliving the memories it brings with it.
I still prefer to read books whilst my perfectly good kindle gathers dust by the side of my bed too

Me too Malc, I think being old means knowing what makes us happy…
Today listening to The police/walking on the moon made me happy, on a cd in my red rag top, roof down, in the sunshine wooo hoooo
