One of my other none MX5 cars does not have a visible flashing car alarm LED.
For a visible deterrent i want a ‘slow’ flashing LED, maybe a flash every 2 or 3 seconds, rather than a hard wire kit with a switch that you have to remember to switch on and off, also i’m not keen on an LED that runs off a separate battery that needs to be periodically changed.
I have found these that are solar powered.

Has anybody used them or have a better alternative?
Thanks, Dave.
Hi
you can buy a 5mm flashing led and holder for next to nothing
drill a small hole to mount it your choice where and wire the positive side to a permanent live and the negative side to a switched live (yes you read right)
when the ignition is on no led flash when off it will flash as intended
and no it wont short out or conduct electricity and back feed anything else guaranteed
