Fasteners / Rivets for front bumper spoiler

  1. My model of MX-5 is: Mk4 (2015+) 1.5SE soft top
  2. I’m based near: Southampton
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Fasteners / Rivets for front lower bumper spoiler.
    See picture.
The originals are metal, I’ve not been able to find anything other than plastic general fasteners which i guess i’ll use if i have to, but i’d like to find the metal orginals since this is a lease car.
Failing that I’d be happy with a good plastic recommendation link.
Can anyone point me at a source? Given the ease with which the bumper/spoiler scrapes on curbs, I’d have thought this was a common request, but my search skills are failing me.
    Thanks in advance.

They’re this sort of thing…

You’ll have to measure for size.

Thanks. those certainly look better than the general plastic bits & bobs I’ve seen, and would certainly do the job, even if they aren’t exactly the same as the Mazda original (which seem to be screw activated)
It won’t do me any harm to order some in a few sizes!)

is what i bought (measurements look right)

I believe the genuine Mazda part number you are looking for is B33J51833:

I have found them on eBay but they are a fair bit more expensive than the Amazon option at £7 per rivet…

Yes that’s a load spreading or large flange pop split rivet, 4.8mm x 20mm was the size I bought. I got some long grass wrapped round mine and pulled it half off.

There was another fastener on that little winglet, a screw of some kind that I managed to get the Mazda part for at ludicrous cost, but there was no part number for the thing it was supposed to screw into. I think I used two of the rivets in the end.

Here you go, 10 black ones 4,8 x 16 for £1.89.

Thanks everyone who replied.
It seems obvious now that they are rivets, but i’d made the missasumption that they were some sort of screw in (and out) part.
£7/rivet is certainly OTT, especially as visuallly the Amazon ones looked identical to me, but yes that looks like the correct Mazda P/N
Cheers for the ebay find too - would have saved a little v. Amazon
