And another photo.
Two years ago we were at Gaydon, the OC rally.
Hotel booked for Sunday evening, here’s to another great day at the OC rally, with a different car this time.
My favourite photo of my car, well the only one actually.
Fresh off the transporter and awaiting registration, I cant wait to get it out on the road.
I like tinkering with my little old MX5 Almost as much as driving it…I’m going to save my pennies and save up and buy a ND. They are a work of Art . (Kinetic Art) They look as if they are breaking the speed limit even when they are parked up…note my little ‘ Roadie ‘ wind blocker, A nice little touch for those who like to personalise their MX5s. The imitation boot rack ( purely cosmetic ) Cost about £7 to make from a Halfords product … Looks much better in real life than on photo It looks as if it’s meant to be there ! … it could ( at a push) be used for Carrying small items so as to prevent small scratches to the boot lid etc. And can be removed in minutes with no damage to the boot lid . The wall in the background was apparently built by the Romans in 25 BC. By the state of our pavement it could be true
Here’s another picture of my lovely old MX5 14 years old Now and still without a blemish on her bodywork,
I know … to some … it will sound crazy But it’s got so many coats of ‘auto glym extra gloss Protection’ on it that a bumble bee did about six somersaults on the bonnet Recently before buzzing all over the bonnet and tumbling off the end of it… and Rain don’t bothers it neither , no doubt seen as a ‘waste of time‘ Trying to settle upon it. Extra gloss protection is the way to go lads Halfords about £12. Give it three successive coats for very best results then once a month … it’s a one hour job ( each coat ) Best regards from a very windy Essex…
The wall in the background was built by the Romans in 25 BC…
Pretty much a “farewell to OC Forum photo” which may come as a relief to some.
Lifestyle modifications beckon under advice so simply going off grid other than essentials ( eg Amazon!) & doing other things now I’m back to a degree of health that allows it.
It’s been a great 15 years but it’s time to head for the hills.
