Finding a event

I let my membership lapse after covid. Thought I would find an event run and come along again but there doesnt seem to be a Central Scotland site with chat anymore
Do you need to be a member now to find out about runs?
When I did my first run years ago you came along to see if it was for you before joining. Is that now not how it works?

You will find events via the Area page linked and yes you’re generally welcome to try before you buy.

Been in events section but still going around in circles finding a Central Scotland run. Or a chat about it.

When they’re planned the AC will post an update on that page.

I haven’t seen any forum chat about CS events, there is a Facebook group for members where it’s more likely that will happen these days.

@SAndals23 maybe you could comment.

Just highlights what I am saying. CS not very welcoming anymore for new members.
Think I will pass.
it was a clique before an not much has changed by the looks.
Unfortunately I’m an old has been and don’t do unsocial media. Even my kids are saying that Facebook is for golden oldies :grinning_face:

Morning,
Given where the previous AC was, and the lack of one for a while, I think since taking over in the past year we’ve been far more inclusive and have lots of new members, so I don’t accept your view.
Drives are open to folk to come and try and we’ve had a few new folk along - they’ve tended to reach out to me as Area Coordinator - my details are on the website.
I’m pretty busy and not on the website much but have been speaking to others re: putting drives on the calendar - not just Club e-mails, SM and WhatsApp. I’ve not done this since new website, so looking into this.
Drop me a line and we can discuss where you are and what you’d like to get out of the Club and I’ll let you know if any fit the bill.
