Was the GT a purple one with the vinyl roof ?
Hi…no GT is Bronze Yellow.with black vynal roof…very rare car’s these days. Around 25 on road of the GT.in uk

Very glad that you’re having a fine time in your 5 - you’ve certainly got the roads for it round there - and sorry to harp on about the GT, but did you by any chance find out who the original registered keeper was back in '71?. I ask because I think it may have been my boss’s car at that time.
I used to have one of those 20 odd year ago identical to that loved it until the engine siezed lol.

I got it from Thornley Co Durham.
The GT was registard to a Mr J.A.Wheeler ,of Feltham Middlesex… an Austin A40 reg number EML175B was used as part ex for a nice sum of £199.25
