I have just bought a set of Meister R Zeta CRD coilovers for my '08 NC from www.coilovers.co.uk. I’m fitting them myself then getting the geometry/alignment/precise ride height set up by a garage with the right kit.
Fronts went on today with no issues. However, on removal of the rear original mazda suspension units it quickly became apparent that the Meister units are significantly shorter than the originals. E.G. With the adjustable height wound right out with only 4 threads still engaged (far too few for practical application) the distance between the top mounting surface and the lower bush centre is (free length) 350mm. The original unit measures (free length) 412mm. The top and lower mounting are definitely correct for the NC. To me this looks like the lower mounting tube is too short. I’ve got back to Coilovers.co.uk hopefully they are looking into this issue. Just wondering if anyone has experience of this happening? Am I missing something obvious?
I’m doing the same next month as i will be using my NC for Autosolo. The car will sit a lot lower than standard tho .
There are a few good youtube vids of this suspension conversion and none mention the issues you have ?.

Yes, that’s a good video. Thanks for that, I’ve been at work so haven’t been able to get back to the car. However, I think the issue (hopefully!) is that the unloaded original rear shock is much longer than the unloaded Meister. In order to check this I just need to lift the wheel hub up to my preferred ride height position (I’m going for 350mm from the wheel arch to start off with which will drop my ride height by 35mm) then measure the distance between the top mounting and lower bush mounting for the shock. If all’s well it should match the new Meister and I can carry on with the job. Anyway thanks again for answering, good luck with yours!
I think that sounds about right Philip, post some pics of before and after if you can as i would love to see how your car sits after the install.
Good luck
John.
