Flat Door Cards

Hi There

I’ve got flat cards which I bought second hand, and they fit ok. However, obviously they don’t have anything in terms of seals for the side window. I am planning on keeping speakers in the doors. I am guessing water ingress could be problem? should I butcher my mk2 cards or buy some mk1 tops or should I just leave it like that?

Shouldn’t be an issue leaving it like that I wouldn’t think. Nothing to rest your arm on though!!!
