For Sale: 1994 Eunos Roadster NA S-Special 1.8

1994 Eunos Roadster NA S-Special 1.8 in Chaste White.

Currently on 194500 kms (120000 miles).

Imported by MX-5 specialists Dandycars in November 2003, at 104780 kms, and sold to the one previous owner.

Huge UK service history file, showing services at Dandycars every year from 2004 until 2013.
No expense was spared in maintenance by the first meticulous owner, including a replacement gearbox and clutch in November 2008

Acquired by me in early 2017, and subject to the following re-commissioning work:

New battery (Bosch) with correct vents, and clamp/ Engine Oil (Mobil) and filter (Mazda OEM) change/ air filter (Mazda OEM)/ Spark plugs/ HT Leads/ New radiator and cap/ silicone coolant hose set/ thermostat (88)/ water pump/ cambelt/ tensioner kit/ alternator drive belt/ PAS drive belt/ front crankshaft oil seal/ front camshaft oil seals/ CAS O-ring/ calipers removed, checked, slider pins cleaned & lubricated/ all flexible brake hoses replaced with Goodridge SS braided/ new brake pads (EBC Yellowstuff front/Mintex rear)/ brake fluid replaced/ replacement OEM style exhaust.

Two subsequent oil and filter changes by me.

Mechanically the car is faultless – engine starts instantly with no cam lifter noise, and still pulls strongly and cleanly through all gears.

Bodywork is in really excellent condition for a 25-year old Eunos – usual lower rear sill rot was dealt with by a local MX-5 expert in February this year, has been correctly rustproofed internally (Dynax S-50) and will be good for many years to come.  Absolutely no signs of wheel arch or other corrosion.

Black mohair convertible top with glass hrw, in excellent leak-free condition. Rear hood drains checked and cleared twice a year. Rear OEM cabin brace.

Cloth seats are in excellent condition, with no discernable wear on the bolsters.

2 keys – reliable immobiliser.

Original MOMO steering wheel.

The original JDM 14” BBS alloys have parted company with the car somewhere along the way – it now sits on 15” 5-spoke alloys from (I believe) a Mk2 – these are in good condition and complement the car really well, with a matching set of Goodyear tyres all with 5mm tread.

Given the outstanding service history and excellent overall state of bodywork, only offers close to asking price considered.  Not desperate to sell, but a new (Eunos) project means I may be running out of room!

I’m in Southampton, very close to J5 of the M27.

Thanks,
Steve
