Mazda MX5 JDM 1.8RS - W106 XMA
The vehicle is a nice example of a 2000 JDM 1.8RS, imported into the UK in 2010 it now has an odometer reading of 202,200 km (126,000 miles).
I acquired it in Feb 2019 with 195,500km on the clock from its only previous UK owner.
Bodily it is generally in very good condition for age and very solid underneath with original chassis legs and sills and never having had any welding done but the NSR arch now needs some remedial work to light rust. In my ownership it has always been kept in a lock up except when being driven.

Original RS trim and finish includes -

- Increased 7500rpm red line
- Remapped ECU to accommodate the raised rpm limit

- 6-speed c/r manual gearbox
- Front suspension strut brace.
- RS style Enkie 5 spoke alloys
Work which was done in Japan, consisted of -
- GruppM Cold air induction kit
- Cobra sports exhaust 2” s/s Cobra catback
- Zunsport front grille
- chrome fuel filler cap.
In addition to the above the previous UK owner fitted -
- Uprated EBC slotted& dimpled discs with EBC pads
- Replacement mohair roof
- Aftermarket immobiliser.
Work done by myself since purchase, fitting of -
- MeisterR CRD coilovers (early 2020) + four wheel alignment
- Dinitroll Rustproofing, internally to all cavities and sills and chassis sections, externally to all floor pans and arches etc by The MX5 Restorer at Eastbourne in Apr 2019.
- Boot rack
- Style bar plus wind breaker
- Installing Second hand Bose power amps to preserve original sound system.
- Philips H4 +130 headlamp bulbs
