And its never failed an MOT, certainly previously loved, hope it can be rescued!
Low mileage(around 61K) and MOT expired on April fools day 2013.
If it has been sat outside for years with no attention and a softtop, I imagine the sills are a mess.

I find that so sad… I must be growing soft as I get older.

Shame it couldn’t have crawled into the nearby barn and become a ‘barn find’ worth loads more of course 
Always find it strange when cars just get abandoned like that, it’s just a waste.
Sell it, give it to a friend, just do something with it…

… I believe that the nearby barn is being or has been converted into living accomodation
It is sad but you know how life can be sometimes.
Other matters take priority and lesser issues like the MX5, perhaps once loved, get marginalised.
Go and leave a note; the owner may well be grateful that someone has shown an interest and an opportunity for them to offload to an enthusuast.
