Thought I’d just share my experience with using Forte Advanced petrol treatment.
Let me start my saying I don’t work for this company or have any connections with it apart from the fact I used the diesel cleaner many years ago ! There are other petrol treatments available !
So I have had my 1.8 Kuro for a month now and love it but there were a couple of minor issus that were bugging me. When pulling off in first gear there was a slight hesitation/drop of revs that meant I often either stalled the car or over rev’d it too stop it from stalling. Not every time but more times than not.
So I tried putting £30 worth of VPower in and then filled up with Tesco Momentum which had no impact. There was also another issue which is hard to explain but felt like the car slowed down more than it should when you took your foot of the accelerator mainly in 3 and 4 gear - a little like brake regen in an electric car.
So I decided to try the Forte and added it to a full tank of VPower…
After a couple of shortish drives (5 miles or so each) I suddenly noticed the flat spot had gone completely! Easy to pull away nice and smoothly A little while later I noticed the car seemed smoother and the regen braking effect symptom had also gone. The car is just much more pleasant to drive.
I had been thinking of a remap to remove the flat spot but don’t need to now (although I may still well…)
So I thought this might help someone, I’ll admit I am normally suspicious of products like this and have thought it might be placebo but the difference is obvious.
Of course it could be the VPower or could be that the car is being used a little more than it had been ? 23k in 13 years isn’t much and maybe me driving it most days has helped.
But it seems too much of a coincidence? Anyway at £12.99 it certainly seems to have done the trick - it’s such an improvement !
Hope it helps someone
