Been playing loads of Forza 3 lately. Got myself the mk1 MX5 as soon as I had a few thousand credits and made it look identical to my real life one haha. Turn10 have totally nailed the look and feel of the car. I also love
how the interior gauges move almost identically to real life - only
limitation being that the oil pressure gauge doesnt move.
I drive in cockpit view with all assists turned off, manual gear changes and medium AI difficulty and it is f-ing awesome! Easily the best racing game I own and a total blast to be able to drive the 5 in game!
I’ve got the chance of an Xbox (see advert below) so then I can buy the Forza Motorsport 3 and join in the fun[:)]

Sounds like a pretty good deal, you can always increase the size of the haddrive yourself later, its a piece of pi ss.
The only thing you’ve got to be wary about is that loads of people have been banned from xbox live recently for playing hacked copies of games. Microsoft ban the Xbox console not the username, so some bastards sell them on ebay cheaply and don’t tell the buyer that the actual console will never be able to go online. Double check with the seller that this £85 one can access Xbox Live without any problems because without it the Xbox is worthless (unable to update any games, access online content, play online multiplayer etc).
Only other thing to be aware of is that I dunno if the ‘Premium’ model actually has an HDMI output or whether its just component. If you have a massive HDTV it might be worth spending the extra on a brand new Elite. Let us know what you think of Forza 3!
e: Oh and I meant to add - I want your list of real life cars!!! An classic Lotus AND a classic VW Camper [:O] awesome!
I’m pretty sure that all 360’s output in HD, you just need the HDMI lead to do it.

you dont need hdmi, mine outputs in 1080p with the component lead… I have the old 360 (launch day console still going, touch wood) and have no issues with HDD space, go for it…

I don’t have Forza, or an XBox, but if I did I’d want this:
The paint is satin black apart from the front wings which are bare carbon fibre. Camouflaged Learning font is “Calvin and Hobbes”.
If there were a replica of my car in Forza I’d buy the console just to play it.
I will get to work then, just in case anyone is interested, will have to work on the carbon fibre as is hard to get to look right.
Will post a picture on here of each car when finished if anyone wants
Looks like it sold, but not to me[:(] or well I’ll have to hang out until after Christmas and see what deals we can have in the Jan sales, so until then I’ll keep hammering Race Driver GRID[:)].
Sadly the Mazdaspeed Roadster isn’t an exact match for my 2001 Sport, but it’s as close as I could get. I’ve repainted it to match my own anyway though, just wish I could get the Mazda wheels in silver. It looks just like mine from the cockpit view though! I also bought a black MK I which I’m having lots of fun with.
I did consider a PS3, but the 360 was half the price at the time and it had Gears of War. The only PS3 exclusive title I was really interested in was GT5, but I’ve had my 360 for a year now and there’s still no sign of it. Obviously I’ve not played GT5, but the AI in Forza is far superior to GT4 where the computer cars would stick to the racing line no matter what and run into you if you fluffed a corner.

Excuse the pants quality, I haven’t got Gold membership (I refuse to pay Bill Gates another £40!!) so had to take pics of the telly!
OK looking at the pictures of what you can do within Forza 3 has convinced me that I’m definitely going to get an Xbox just after Christmas, unless Santa brings me one first
