four wheel alignment done today

Only had my mk3 a week, but from what I had read on the net, a four wheel alignment was one of the first things to do. So had it done today - I have a friendly mechanic, so didn’t actually cost me anything. He was quite surprised at it was pretty close when it he put it on the machine. But, he adjusted it all so its now spot on. And yes, I think it has improved things. Still feels a bit skittish on the road, but I think thats down to me not being used to a rear wheel drive lightweight car. It corners like its on rails

Had my first chance to look at the underneath, and we were both pleasantly surprised. Very solid under there, and really only a little surface rust in a few places.

On the body, there is the tiniest sign of bubbling around the indicators, but you can only see that if the light is in the right direction. The inside of the boot lid has the standard little bit of corrosion, but I can sort that out.

As its only done 45k on an 06 plate, I think I have bought a good one. Fingers crossed

I would get those front wings sorted ASAP as the steel is so thin there you may we have to cut out and replace those areas or put on new wings if you do not get your skates on and get it sorted.

Not sure where I would start with the wings. What’s the process to get them sorted out, without having the wings resprayed
