Of course our MX-5s have got frameless windows. Silly question, but one which is probably easy for people with more knowledge than me (i.e everyone), is when you look at the side windows (my ND for example) with the roof up and windows up, you see an intricate looking ‘inner seal’ along the top, which flows towards the front and rear of the windows, all on the inside of the window. Is this to channel any water that gets passed the top of the outer glass? Say between the side of the soft top and the upper side window? You don’t see this intricate inner seal thing when you look through FRAMED doors on ‘normal’ cars, obviously, so I thought is this frameless window thing with the ‘inner’ ‘behind the window’ seals to direct water? My Mrs’ MINI has the same inner window seal look/thing going on with her 3 door with frameless windows?
