Horrendous damage to house and car.
Crikey!! That damage on the RF look pretty bad. Hopefully nobody was injured - That was quite a violent storm yesterday…
Rob
Looks like a fairly new car, can’t see the plate though.
Just time to be repaired before the ‘buying season’ starts.
Soon to be advertised for sale at a dealer near you, probably via CoPart or similar.
I hope the owner goes through his car insurance. If he claims via his household insurance there’s even less chance it’ll be recorded on HPI, so will retain its clean title.
Hope no one was hurt, looks like a big tree.
I don’t think anyone was hurt!
Link to story here!
I wonder if the pedestrian impact bumper activated, the tree seems to look a bit worse for wear.
i was at work delivering pizzas yesterday evening from 5 oclock.
had a few village orders!
gotta say it not fun driving the back roads yesterday evening, not fun at all!
having to watch for fallen trees and brances in the road meant i had to cruise along at max 40mph
tbh i think this part of lincolnshire missed most of the really bad stuff.
The Mazda’s damage was minor compared to the damage to the house caused by the 400 year old oak being blown over.
House looked even worse than the car. Nobody hurt thankfully. Car (69 plate) will be the least of their worries.
let me correct that for you
considering its only an RF, Car (69 plate) will be the least of their worries.
Not an RF fan myself but wouldn’t blame anyone for choosing one if it suited them. Got to be a soft top for me as a fun car but if it’s also the car that you commute with on a daily basis all year then an RF could be the sensible choice. Then again, do we ever make sensible choices when an MX-5 is concerned.
Oh dear
The RF enabled people who would not have previously a MX5 to buy a MX5. 62% of NDs sold are RFs. Without the RF model, Mazda would have pulled the plug on the MX5 after Fiat bailed from the project.
it was only a joke guys! hench the clown face.
on a serious note i actually rather like the RF.
if i was going to have an ND i would have the ND RF.
tho i think i would have the roof welded shut! and im not joking.
seriously whats the point of an open top car that has bloody great pillars behind your head that block the all around veiw?
as a proper hard top tho the RF would be fantastic!
thats just my 2 pence worth
Keep it quiet, but 90% of the miles I do in my RF are with the roof closed - however it is nice to have the option to open it sometimes, typically when I’m just bimbling around at dusk during the summer🤭.
Just a bit of friendly banter and leg pulling. 99% of us think all MX-5s are great but we all have our favourites and are a little bit biased. I’ll even let off the 124 lovers. We’ll have a chat with any petrol heads too.
Jesus! Is that your house and car Ofiaich or anybody else’s in the club? If so many condolences.
Hi! It’s not mine! I saw the Sky News item about the damage to the house and spotted the MX-5!
This is mine!
So does God smite RFs with oak trees or illuminate them with rainbows?? I’m confused now!
