Front bumper removal NC 2005

hi all.next thing is to sort out the headlamps. I managed to ping out the left hand headlight retaining clip, so I have a wonky beam

Unfortunately I can’t get easy access as one of the fuse box nuts is rusty and is now rounded off. So easiest thing now is to whip the front bumper off and remove the headlamps. I have seen a pdf mentionEd covering this, on the forum but the link is no longer valid.

i know there are nuts at the top, side and underneath but if anyone has a pdf showing these or removal instructions, that would be appreciated

many thanks in advance

Its not too bad a job to do once you get the hang of it. I’ve taken mine off and back on again, several times. I replaced all the fixings after the first time which makes it so much easier to do again. The self tappers that attach it to the undertray were well gone (rusty). I found the hardest bit is undoing the nuts / bolts where the wing meets the bumper, other than that it’s straightforward  if you have fog lights, don’t forget to disconnect before final removal. It’s also quite a big bit of bodywork so have space to pull it off and put it somewhere safely, possibly on a piece of carpet or similar.

You might find this useful…

Yep, that’s great too…thanks

If your’e handy with spanners and not afraid to get down and dirty, it takes about 30-45 minutes.

Many thanks for the advice, I also foumd a useful link on you tube. It took about an hour, including finding all the bolts! If I have to do it again, I reckon I can get it done to 45 mins. Only niggle was disconnecting the fog lights but That took just a min or two
