I’ve got a small scuff on the front drivers side of the bumper and also a small crack/split on the front passengers side…(on the car when I bought and I did get a bit knocked off so I could get it sorted)
I’ve had a few quotes back around the £250 mark to repair both of these. All being from a man with a van that comes to you to do the work…
It’s been a long time since I’ve had anything like this done and to me £250 seems a lot…
Below are pics of the damage so just wondered if anyone else thought £250 was about right or should I keep shopping around…
A full bumper respray would be £250/300 depending where you go. With that bit of damage, I don’t think £250 is that extortionate. If he’s just blowing in both ends, then it’s a tad dear and £200 would be enough IMO.
My neighbour had similar scuffs on a front bumper but near the number plate. Makes no difference it being a Vauxhall but also red in colour. They blended the paint job to the rest of the bumper, couldn’t tell where it had been painted, £180.
I’m going to get my NC painted next year, the front bumper, expecting at least £300 for a full respray, probably more with it being pearlescent, who knows?
I had a quote of £300 for my pearlescent front bumper earlier in the year.
Only a couple of stone chips but I didn’t have it done in the end, as I was a bit concerned about it not matching up properly.
Mazda touch up paint was ok for me, but I do still know they’re there…
With a minor repair like that and a solid colour, I would do it myself. An easy fix.
Low down repairs are not easily seen.
I had similar on my leased Leon in metallic burgundy when Mrs clipped a plant pot. Repaired for less than £20 and the inspector on its return never spotted it.
I also caught the wing edge of my stormy blue NC. Great white gaiuges. Again all fixed with paint , laquer and 1500 Wet or Dry paper.
Its easier than you might think.
