Front crash/bumper panel

1. My model of MX-5 is: __NC 2.0
2. I’m based near: __LIVERPOOL
3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __
   I tended to the rear crash panel a few weeks back, removed, treated the rust coloured attachment plate areas on body and panel, all is good.
   My question being…does the same apply to the front crash panel behind the bumper. Is it attached in a similar fashion and did it leave the factory with no paint on between the two mating faces ??

The front is not the same as the back but there is a rust prone closing plate on the end of the chassis rail. It’s worth getting the bumper off to do this and the cross rails that support the rad and battery box etc.

Worthwhile job. Plenty of much in there. Took mine off an no rust but plenty to clean
