I am thinking about getting a dashcam. Ideally I would like a front & rear setup but obviously on the RF I am assuming the rear camera could not be fixed to the rear window because it would be trashed when the roof is lowered & may also damage the folding mechanism. A possibility is to attach it to the clear perspex wind deflector but I’m not sure. Realistically, is it practicable or better just to fit a front facing camera? Any recommendations as to make and model?
There are some cheapos on eBay which clip over the rear view mirror and have front and rear camera built in.
I can’t comment on the quality though.
We have a nextbase (320… I think) in the wife’s daily.
It has front and a separate Rear, a neat setup, but we did notice that it doesn’t pick up a clear enough image to obtain number plates of cars coming in the opposite direction.
I have front and rear on my RF works just fine down loads to my iphone
Rear cam is mounted on my wind blocker
Front camera main head unit is mounted just under the rear mirror on the flat grey plastic … I had road angel Pro+ before this set up which was ok but this new RED Tiger set up is far better also has Picture in Picture and has a lot of good other features …easy to install
