Front side lights not working?

I recently had a bit of a bump in my mx5, and having got everything back together, I seem to have a couple of oddities about the car.

As stated in the title, the front side lights aren’t coming on at all, the rear lights that come on with the sides are fine, and the headlights and indicators all work as they should.  Are there any connectors that could have come loose elsewhere?  I believe the front sides and the rear side lights are on the same fuse, so I’m assuming it’s not that.

I’ve looked for similar issues, but I can’t find any that quite match mine in my searching.

Another quirk is that my washer jet pump has stopped working, emitting no sound whatsoever when it should be pumping fluid, I’ve checked the connector there and all looks well, but since the pump was looking quite tired anyway I’ve ordered a new one, so this isn’t much of an issue.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

If it’s a mk2.5 (you don’t say which model you have, so I’m guessing) then there are very small bits of loom to the front sidelights, check they are connected at both ends.

whoops, sorry for not mentioning that, it’s a 1998 Mk2, they should be connected though, as I did need to replace the passenger side headlight, from what I could see when I checked it, the bulb I put in was fine.

on a previous car i had (not an mx5) i found that the strangest things were linked together, for example the wipers, front sidelights and central locking stopped working, all on one fuse that was labbelled “wipers”

so deffinately worth checking every fuse,

cheers
