New tyres fitted and alignment sorted by Rodders.
I had never been there before, but it was exceptionally easy to find. Leave the M1 at the Meadowhell junction, follow A631 and you see it on the right (You have to drive past it and come back at the roundabout)
There had been quite a lot of rain the night before, so def the right time to get rid of my worn rears, but not best perhaps for testing after.
However even though I was being sensible, I can say that even just driving away, on the first roundabout and on the motorway, it feels much more direct in the steering. Changing lanes was enough for me to notice an improvement!
By the time I was nearer to home (almost 100 miles from Roddisons), weather was better, so instead of using the A-roads for the last few miles, I headed cross-country on some twisty B-roads.
Very happy. I already loved the car and felt it handled really well, limits lower than some of my other cars, but fun and predictable handling. So although I was expecting more grip from the tyres, I wasn’t expecting that much more given my positive impression of the car already. But it is very noticeable how much improved it is and given the way it turns in and balance, I feel this is not just due to the new rubber - Paul’s set-up plays a big part too.
As recommendations go - let’s just add that I shall be taking my NSX up there in the spring to get the alignment done by Rodders too
