I recently acquired a 2011 NC and wanted to give it a service but didn’t want to risk scrabbling underneath with the car on jacks etc.

I found a place called ThisIsYourGarage based just outside of Abingdon where you can rent fully enquiped service bays with a variety of different lifts. I used the drive on lift as I was not removing the wheels and managed the oil change, gearbox oil change and rear differential oil change. Not only was it so much easier than scrabbling around under the car the owner (Richard) was super helpful in finding the exact equipment needed such as the oil filter cup fitting.

An added bonus for us MX5 fans is that one of the staff (Dominic) owns and MX5 and is a walking encyclopedia which was really helpful for us newbies. Equiped with an on site ‘diner’ I really can not recommend this place enough and for £25 and hour I will definitely be back!

Now to tackle the brakes!!

That’s such a cool idea, would have saved me loads of aches and pains from lying on my back in my garage.
I’m Googling similar places in Staffs now.

Ubique is the name of the place in Helston, Cornwall. Used it when I get a new vehicle. Buy a couple of hours for simple service stuff with the huge benefit of looking underneath at leisure. Guy who owns it is ex helicopter engineer and is very clued up on Audis.
