Garage vacuum cleaners

Hi. The old Dyson has finally expired. I now need a vacuum solely for car and garage cleaning.
I am tempted by either of these:-

this is available from Amazon for 168GBP.

or this one from Machine Mart.

The Machine Mart is much cheaper BUT will I get what I pay for?

Has anyone got either of these machines and if so please tell all of us what you think.

Thanks
Nick

Personally I prefer something portable, which I can then use for things like DIY after clean up etc.

Something similar to this.

Cant beat a George TBH even has a wet vac on it which is great for cleaning drains or wet vac’ing the floor, cleaning up spills etc and is quite a powerful machine and we all know builders use the little brother henry on building sites so well proven system.

Its on my wish list as id love to wet vac the rear seats of my girlfriends VW where the dog goes :frowning: urgh!

Ben.

Thanks both but I need a wall mounted cleaner due to space considerations.  I am baulking at £168 for the Sealey but hopefully someone will come on this thread and give me their experiences of wall mounted cleaners.

Thanks again

Ben, you are the King of Double Entenre.   Thumbs Up

You won’t find anything better than this

Read some reviews, it’s the best small workshop vac around. If you need it wall mounted, put a small shelf with a strap on the wall.

Another vote for George. I work from home so drill & lathe swarf, weld slag, metal grinding dust, it copes with it all.

Edit:-  Whoops, didn’t spot the wall mounted bit, or that this is an old thread. I’ll go back to bed.

Taxi driver, Thanks for the post. I have at long last done the deed. I have bought the Shop Vac from Machine Mart. Bought it today and installed it in my garage this evening. Obviously I have had a quick play - it’s a toy after all!!
Seems fine and it will do what I need. I really fancied the the Sealey but an extra 100 pounds is a lot just to clean a couple of cars.
Thank you one and all for your advice.
Cheers. Nick
