Hi, for the technically capable (and know where to search for this)
Is the gauge cluster of the NC different for the three different variants.
Is the LHS and RHS vehicles different part number (more importantly are they actually different units?)
Reason is, i bought this earlier this week (delivery is scheduled after the 20th Feb) and although i believe the LHS and RHS cluster is effectively the same unit and there’s no difference between the three variants I just want to confirm the above and anticipate potential issues when I get to fit it.
I was looking for something like that for some time and I have bought a racelogc digital gauge that has dual pressure and temp reading and was originally going to go with the ugly pods but last week @BrilliantBlackBirdy post this, and I thought that’s perfect I need one of those
There are several clusters available in the states for different variants but it’s likely that the wiring relevant to oil pressure and water temp is the same. It may be that different diff ratios and keyless start are the factors affected.
Have a look on this site,
I prefer to keep the car with the analogue gauges so what i have gone for is the setup A that comes with a replacement pressure sensor. The next option i went is the analogue pressure and analogue coolant temp gauge and metric readings.
Just to let everyone know I’m quite happy to do the soldering and mods in the cluster and the bloke has yet to officially release his kit so I’m likely to be one of the first ones.
Just an update.
It seems there are a few different types of clusters depending whether its auto, 5/6 speed, KM/miles. to be honest I don’t think it matter if the cluster face is different, the speedometer needle should have the same position, they just changed the units on the cluster face to match (its the logical thing to do). For automatics, they have the same board but with extra components. This morning I also had a chat with the bloke who makes the unit and he said the same and also that the manual cluster has the same traces in place for the automatic screen, it is just that the screen is not fully populated.
