Has anyone experience of Roddison motorsport in Sheffield?
A couple fo guys frmo work have rekomended them and I’ve book my Eunos in for a new cambelt and pump next week.
My car has fairly tired suspension I have a spare set of standard dampers and springs that im half temoted to put on to see how it improves. Or do I blow the bank a bit and go for some GAZ coil overs?!?
Their website explains they sell various models of damper /springs. Has anyone got any? Im looking for a compliant ride. Currently the car has fairly firm springs and fairly worn (slow to react) dampers, which results in a rubbish ride on uneven surfaces. Its actualy quite good on smooth flowing roads.
Anyway ramble over, looking forward to your thoughts!
They race cars in the Max5 MX5 series so it’s likely they know what they are talking about. Not had any direct experience with them myself but equally have heard good things. Probably worth popping along for a chat.
Read this thread if you haven’t already done so. I suspect that if you are particularly looking for a compliant ride you should stay away from aftermarket coilovers. That said, the new dampers under development by Phil Dixon at P5 Sportdrive may well fit the bill when they are ready. Phil understands the issues of compliance probably better than any other suspension-modifier. Might be worth talking to him.
I had the Gaz gold setup on my MK1. Expect a much firmer ride. You will notice every pothole and road inperfection.
Ok for me as a non daily driver, car was used mainly for track.
My MK3 has standard Billies with the Ebach lowering springs, much better ride quality, but more body roll, not ideal for track as i found out at Cadwell last night, but a good compromise.
