Gear knob thread size

Hi all, the gear knob on my NC is starting to wear and I’m looking around for a replacement. Does anyone know if all Mazdas had the same size thread on the gear stick? I’ve found one I like the look of which looks very similar to the original but is a lot cheaper than an MX-5 one.

All MX-5s have the same thread size, if that’s what you’re asking.

I have my Jass gearknob that’s been on my NA, NC2 and now ND.

But if the one you’re interested in is from another Mazda model, then I’m not sure. It needs to be M10x1.25.

As a general rule, all Mazda gear knob thread sizes are the same unless it’s from something really old or obscure.

Not sure if I want to say what it is in case someone beats me to it but here goes, it’s a Mazda Space Star which I guess would be a model we didn’t get in the UK

Are you sure that’s a Mazda?

Good point. Seller says it’s a Mazda but Google says its Mitsubishi so possible no good anyway

Yep, Space Star is a Mitsubishi.

But you may be in luck, as I’m pretty sure Mitsubishi used M10x1.25 as well…
