Gearbox and Diff oil [NC]

Hi, I currently own a MX5 NC 2011. I have seen some workshops which provide mineral gearbox oil. Would like to know if its recommended to use mineral or synthetic. I drive my car daily. Thanks

The NC is very sensitive to gearbox oil. I believe there is a Castrol and Redline oil that’s good, I use Motul, massively improved cold shifting
