Cheers Chris, with a bit more research on the old interweb, I’ve realised how dull my question was. You’re spot on with your reply.
I’ll stick to the elbow grease.
we had the Gen-3 treatment done on a new car last year. It does an OK job but despite careful washing there are some swirl marks present in strong light. It is possible that these already existed as part of the original application but I can’t be sure.
Also, last summer there were bird droppings on the roof and when I washed the car some had etched into the coating!
I wouldn’t have it done again, as you know it’s not cheap!) I’d just use a high quality wax instead.
yeah I suspect you’re right. It was done at the dealers but no idea if their guys did it or they got someone in. When I picked up the car it looked really good but it was March so didn’t have the bright sun to highlight any swirls that may have been there. I can’t tell if the marring is on or under the sealant. I guess I could try a gentle polish to see if it improves things but not sure if this would work on sealant like this and largely defeats the object!
Out of interest, have you ever been called to do any correction to this type of product?
