German/EU emissions sticker

Hi Folk’s
Im planning a road trip through Germany next year 2025 down to Italy. Apparently you need an emissions sticker to go onto cities. I believe I need a number 4 sticker for a 2.0L 2009 MX5. Has anyone travelled through Germany recently and am I correct.

Yes I have, recently got back from a tour of France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Lichtenstein and Luxembourg in my '02 ULEZ kompliant NBFL Madge.

For France you need a Crit 3 sticker, Belgium you need to register seperately for Antwerp and or Brussels, and indeed Germany you need a Euro 4 sticker. For Austria I registered to use the motorway but never used them and never quite worked out what Italy, where again I did not use the motorway, needed seemed a bit more concerned with diesel than petrol, if you have Euro 4 I understood that was good enough for Switzerland.
