Getting rid of your old catalytic converter?

What is the best way to sell your old cat? I have aftermarket headers on the nc 2.0 so the standard set is no longer needed and is taking up space.

I believe cat is probably where the value is rather than it actually be an exhaust.

Same scenario here too. EBay it perhaps? (Someone will buy it).
I decided to keep all my stuff in the attic as if (not likely but you never know) I decided to sell the car, I can offer all the original stuff to the buyer if they wanted to put it back to stock. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:

I just thought with the prices of cats it would be worth selling, cash in and recoup some of my losses for the remap etc

I did see one get bid up for £400 on ebay but felt that was not an honest auction (maybe some shill bidding)

I think the NC cat is ceramic and it’s the platinum ones that are worth a lot of money. Be happy with £50 for it just to get rid so might try ebay and reserve it.

I don’t think the later ones are worth very much scrap value. It’s the MK2/2.5 ones that are worth silly money.

Blimey I will sell mine for that price :flushed::wink::joy:

Listed on ebay and within a minute someone offered me £100

Think ill go for it just to get rid, seems like ebay is the place maybe

I sold my cat and header on ebay for £120. Saves it taking up space in the garage!

Thanks, useful to have some info. Sadly the guy that removed mine snapped 2 bolts so listed it for spares, guessing it’s just scrap people who buy them.

Nice one, put it up as an auction and you never know what you may get. :+1:
