Long shot, it sounds like I have a stone or a nut somewhere in the car. If i turn the steering wheel an inch either way, I can hear it “running” to an end point. I thought it was in the drivers door, the sill, sounds like it is behind my right ear but have found nothing…anyone hand something similar. It sound like a ball bearing in a tin. crazy…
“Things” can fall down the side of the seats and make their way into the hollow box section below the front mounting points. I found a mint inside one once! @Mister_H
I had same thing within a few months of buying my 2012. My local garage found a loose bolt in the closing mechanism (latch) for the roof, I’ve seen on this forum since that it’s an issue as they don’t use loctite on it during assembly (not the permanent loctite, the other one).
When cornering it was running from side to side, similar to the noise you describe).
Garage took pennies to fix it.
