Good looking 4 door cars

Hello,

Elsewhere the blandness of 4 door cars was lamented, and I stuggled to think of many genuinely pretty four door cars.

The critria are: must have four doors, must be a car, must be pretty enough that you’d like a poster of one on your wall.

I’ll kick it off with the first one that sprung to mind.

Citroen DS (not only pretty but damn clever too):

Your turn…

i’ll have one of these please

Jaguar 3.8 Mark 2 for me…

Alfa Romeo 159…yeah I know its new(ish) but a two/three year old car is now up for less than a similarly aged Mondeo yet far, far prettier.

If you’ve got enough of the folding to get one then it’s a no brainer as far as I’m concerned…

I know it’s pushing the ‘car’ stipulation, but I just couldn’t find a good looking 4 door car so I use this as a car instead:

The funny thing about the DS is that the estate version (Safari) is one of the ugliest cars ever.

Wish they done the Halibrand in a four door

Functional too in this weather

All the Saloons I like are 2 Door!

It’s not so much the “car” part of the rules that your ignoring as the stipulation that it mush be pretty. Which that isn’t. It may be big, practical, rugged and have many other qualities one might hope for from a means of transport, but it is not pretty.

So something like this for example:

Not Bland Big Smile

I’d say not pretty either. Being a yank tank the size and handling probably moves it from the car catagory into bus catagory too.

Its mine and I love itSmile

Since when has handling had anything to do with aesthetics?? Easy to be negative, where’s your contribution

I had 2 of these…

And One of these, but mine was a 2000e

and one of these…

But I got married in this, so it’s my fav…

Oh happy days!

I had one of these a ford clasic Reg 799 CLH wonder where she is now. Had many a happy time Big Smile

Also a cusomised VX490 Reg WPC 153G can’t find pictures of it anywhere thou

Yep.

Lots of other suggestions on here of cars which have charm, or were iconic, but aren’t pretty.

Liked the Dolomite, but I had a lot of these in various models in the 80s.

3 generations of Triumph / Standard at Mallory. That’s me in the 2000.
