Good paint shop in the midlands

Can anyone recommend a good paint shop in the midlands ?
I’ve an nb I’ve rebuilt, no rust on body, no welding required but it’s red and suffering from fading paintwork and peeling lacquer on a couple of panels.
I’ve just had a quote of £15500 !
I’m after a good job and know paints not cheap so was expecting to pay 2k maybe a bit more but the above is ridiculous .

A complete respray needed or just the two panels matching in?
I know a paint shop in the East Midlands, well Derby if that’s any good.

Door mirrors, osr quarter panel, rear bumper and boot lid . So thought best just to do whole thing. Derby not too far

Greens Total Car Care, and yes, I have used them.

Yes, 1st class job and one my neighbours has used them too.

£2k will get you a 10 foot paint job. It will look ok at 10 foot.

Paint is relatively cheap. You’re paying for prep work, which will include dissassembly and reassembly.

I’ve just been quoted £5000 for a full, 3 stage respray on my Soul Red ND, which I thought was reasonable. No body damage, simply full of stone chips, scuffs, typical 7 years old wear n tear.

Can I ask where quoted you this, please?

I have a Soul Red ND and think I have somewhere to do a bit of paintwork on it but from talking to him I know how hard this colour is to apply so I’m keen to have options.

I live up in the Ribble Valley and my local servicing garage recommended Greenwood’s Vehicle Refinishing to me. Theyre up in Longridge though, but having been to see them and looking at their website www.gvrf.co.uk (checking reviews), im pretty impressed. He said theyll need the car for 10 days to include ov
en baking.

MNS does a lot of work on MX5s for Sam Goodwin in Nuneaton. I’ve had 2 MX5s painted there. Thrussington in East Goscote Leics will have a fair few contacts who paint customer MX5s as well as his racing MX5s. Ultimately, the final finish comes down to how much you want to spend. £15k might well be a good price that ultimate show finish.

Appreciated…I’ve been given a contact here in Newcastle-under-Lyme by Club Members but it sounds like you’ve got closer options
