Good Roads in North Norfolk?

first weekend away in the new Roadster, can anyone recommend some nice driving roads and place to visit around the top end of NorfolK?

ta muchly

B1145 from Kings Lynn to North Walsham is amazing - some nice wide open bits, and couple of brilliantly cambered tighter corners and not much traffic as it runs parallel to the horrible A47 and the utter clogged with tourists coast road.

Also it runs close to castle acre, which is worth a look if you like ruined castles and monestaries.

If you have a car handy, and you do, the B1135 from the A11 at Wymondham to the B1113 at Hethel is a near perfect road, plus it goes past the Lotus factory (you’ll know when you go past it because the road goes from fast open sweeping corners to a much more technical serires of flowing curves). It is a few miles south of Norwich though.

Well I took my own advice and did the B1145 from Kings Lynn at the weekend - amazing drive. Really cheered me up after a long hard week. Not much traffic either, despite it being a bank holiday.

I can vouch for the Hethel road, I used to drive that road at least once a week. Quite short though, so don’t make a special trip.

I may take a detour down the B1145 next time I’m travelling between Hull and Norwich - probably won’t follow it all the way to North Walsham though!

You don’t need to, just turn right onto the A1067 (Norwich to Fakenham road) at Bawdeswell and follow that to Norwich - it hits the Norwich Outer Ring Road at the Asda traffic lights.

I often use this route between Norwich and Kings Lynn - much better than the boring old A47

I had a look on some maps and it looked like quite a direct route into Norwich, may even become the new standard route. I often head to the south of Norwich, which in the past, on nice days, has ended up in an enjoyable detour down the B1135 from Dereham instead of the last bit of A47. Yet to try in the 5. You may even spot some community speedwatchers around Yaxham (old people with a speed gun). I usually treat them to a rev.
