In light of yesterday’s sad news that Daft Punk are splitting up after 28 years, I think this music video is worth your consideration!
What you have to bear in mind is that much of the GREAT music was around BEFORE the “music video” became the norm and that a lot of rubbish is totally dependent on having a great video to sell it.
This is mine for this Tuesday… The Corrs and Ronnie Wood - Ruby Tuesday.
(Ronnie Wood looks happy… Can’t understand why )
Because she is singing it better than Mick? She looks pleasing to the eye too… but not quite as energetic on stage as Mick!
I can’t stand Mick Jagger, so yes, in my opinion she sings it better! That of course is a subjective view, but less subjective is, she certainly looks better than Mick!
Agree on both parts…
Me too!
Who can forget the mastery of Meat Loaf and his love of all things vroom???
Forget who?
Following on from what you said about music videos selling songs and I know it’s a bit off topic but can’t get better than seeing a band live on TV. When I was a bit of a head banger with my Deep Purple and Led Zep albums, I saw this one night on the black and white TV I had in my bedroom and it blew me away, they played this number and another called, She does it right. It was so basic and I loved it. I went on to see them at Southend Kursaal. This was filmed at the height of pub rock which spawn Ian Dury.
Here is some Zep for good measure!! and get us back on topic

Went there did that. was FATASTIC …
To be fair. Most Queen videos were pretty good
My bro was at Knebworth. I was too young but did see Plant and Page at NEC
More Dave Grohl greatness. Probably the Foo’s best ever…
I saw LZ twice, the second time was at the Bath Festival (Shepton Mallet) in 1970 and there was a thunderstorm and lightning struck the stage scaffolding. Quite memorable all-in-all!
I’ve not seen LZ, but seen a great tribute act “Hats Off To Led Zeppelin” And they were good!
