Greetings from Dublin

Presenting my 2004 Mk 2.5 1.8 litre Arctic edition, one of possibly only a handful of Arctic editions in Ireland.

Originally sold in Donald’s Mazda in Peterborough on a 54 plate and had two owners in the UK before being exported here in 2019. I am the fourth owner.

She’s my first (and current) car, driven over 16,000 miles since I acquired her in April last year (current mileage is ~74,150). I’m planning on keeping it in as close to original condition as possible. The only main change I’ve made was the installation of a Cobalt exhaust backbox. I’m also in the process of completing the Ice Cool accessory pack which had chromed door handles, mirrors, and fuel filler cap. Have a lead on the style bar with integrated speakers which also was included in the pack.

Will also need a good job done on the rust situation… soon.

I’ll be coming to Verney in June. Anyone from Ireland travelling over? Can’t wait for it.

Welcome aboard. Your car looks superb.

Hopefully you have some enjoyable roads near you to get the top down and enjoy her.

Coincidentally my 2000 NB also hails from Donald’s originally.

Cheers
Guy

Bought mine second hand from Donald’s, Peterborough as well👍

Your Arctic looks in brill condition

Currently residing in the West Mids BUT me late mother maiden name was Flynn [ancestors settled in Hull during one of the Potato Famines back in the day] so I know I’m part Irish and perhaps it’s in the ‘genes’ eg love of horses and emotionality

and getting an MX-5

As for links to Peterborough [served there as police 1978-81]

Spooky eh

You’re most welcome

Thank you, plenty of great driving roads near me (the Dublin & Wicklow Mountains are nearby) and across the country if you know where to look.

Thanks, every time I walk away from it after parking I can’t help but look back. I think it’s one of the nicest editions they made, especially when clean.

Welcome to the club. I enjoyed a weekend around Ireland courtesy of Mazda Motors Ireland while I was on business there in 2019. You may recognise some of the places…

That route you took through the Wicklow mountains is a great drive, and no better car to do it in!

Always liked the Arctic. As it happens, I acquired the proper coloured hood cover ( unused) for fold down days so PM me as due to illness both my 5s are now gone. If you are ever in Scotand near Stirlingshire just PM me for it FOC…this is NOT a sale post admin. I live near the Falkirk Wheel.
Unless done, I think…you mileage might dictate a cambelt/water pump service now…but you may know from bills if it was done before.
