Apart from the monthly get together would anyone be interested in having days out as a group.
Been down some great roads from Iron Bridge. Bridgenorth , Bewdley and further away in Wales round the Elan valley.
If people have any ideas as to where they would like to visit maybe we could arrange coffee morning, bar meals ect…

I used to live in Coventry. In principle I’d be up for more ad hoc meets and runs, but it’s just a case of fitting them in. I live in Stafford now.
If you are keen to travel further to Shropshire and even Wales then I recommend joining up with the Shropshire MX5 and MX-5 North Wales groups on Facebook. They do plenty of events.

There is one place I would never attend and that’s C&M
As a biker I went up there. Attitude of the parking guys wasn’t very pleasant. Then they wanted us to park on gravel with no puck. Also wanted £5 for the pleasure.
Found a better place at the pitstop club ( Stag pub on the Alcester Road) friendly staff. Very welcoming.
I have friends that live in Falls in Stafford and spend a few weekends up there. So joining the Stafford MX5 group could be a good thing. Shame I don’t do FB…
It’s a shame you had a bad experience at C&M. I’ve been to both C&M and The Piston Club and they have very different atmospheres (and intents, I think). You don’t always have to pay for a ticket at C&M - there are times when you can just turn up, times when it’s ticketed and free, and times when it’s ticketed and you have to pay. Normally you can redeem some of the ticket value against food at C&M. Perhaps give it another go on a free, ticketed MX-5 night and you might have a better evening. I can see how their approach doesn’t work for everyone, though.
