The usual festive deal at Halfords.
£12 for a 4 litre tub of engine oil.
5W/30 A5/B5 for Ford, better fuel consumption for Mk2.5 1.8 or any of the various Mk3
5w/30 A3/B4 for CM/Vauxhall towards the thicker end of the 30 grade, for long drain intervals again use on the above cars.
5W/40 fully synthetic
10W/40 semi synthetic most people use this on the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk2.5 1.6
Remember that a Mk3 needs 4.5 litres, it is cheaper to buy two tubs than buy an extra 1 litre bottle from Halfords
Strangely enough, from my friendly local motor factors, I can get 5 litres of good quality motor oils for similar prices all year round.
Buying one 5 litre tub gives me a 0.5 litre top up, rather than having to buying two at £24 for one oil change, which needs me to buy a third tub for two oil changes.
Therefore you have a better deal so no reason for you to go to Halfords. Happy Days!
Five litres of Mobil Super 3000 fully synthetic 5w-30 for £30 plus one litre free at Halfords now.
Why is it that my favourate oil is out of stock everywhere?
