Time for an oil change on my 2013 NC 1.8. Based on reading here I was going to go for Mobil Super 3000, 5W-30; but the Halfords checker tells me that is not recommended for my car and suggests Petronas Syntium or Castrol Edge instead.
Am I wrong to choose the Mobil option or is the Halfords web checker sub-optimal? Or both!

Mobil Super 3000 FE 5w 30 is the oil of choice for mine. Have used it over the last 4-5 years.
Maybe they didn’t put the FE bit in their search.
