Hardtop locking points

Just purchased my hardtop today fits a treat except I seem to have some extra locking points.  There are 2 at the front top of windscreen, 2 at the side by door pillars and 2 brackets at the rear of the roof.  Here is a picture of what I mean, I have not seen these before was told by the seller that it is a genuine Mazda.

Thanks in advance

Is there a place on your car to be able to use the locking points?

It looks like the latches from the front of the soft top may latch there but they don’t line up.

Reason for asking is because I have never seen these parts on a hard top before, are they normally there?

Thanks

I’ve never had a hardtop, but aren’t the arrowed parts supposed to locate on the “Frankenstein” bolts on the rear deck?  If your car ain’t got 'em, you need a pair of these. They replace two of the flush-mounting screws on the chrome rear deck plates.

I don’t think I have explained properly, the arrows are pointing to parts INSIDE the roof.  The parts you (Martin Young) are talking about are chrome brackets on the OUTSIDE of the roof which are sitting nicely on top of the bolts.

As I explained the roofs fits perfectly, only reason for my question was to find out what the 2 spare brackets (arrowed) are for?

Thanks

They sit against the hood catches to stop the hood bouncing up and down, all hardtops have them

A close up, clearer picture would be helpful but the brackets inside my hardtop do line up with the softtop catches although they dont actually touch them without packing with foam or rubber or something. (i have never bothered). I always assumed they  were there to stop the softop rattling up & down. Would i be right?

If so do other peoples actually touch the softtop catch? If not what have you used to remedy it?

this is totally true fact, i’ve had about 5/6 hardtops all had them, they keep softtop from been lifted up.

Thanks for help, have now sorted.

I had not closed the softop hood latches, the hardtop now ‘rests’ on top of the latches and as stated it stops the hood bouncing up and down[:)]
